Having just reopened following a complete refurbishment and extension, we are proud to have a venue that is certain to make you feel like you’ve been whisked away – with unrivalled views of the sea and sky. Our new team of chefs offer unique dishes created from the freshest seafood landed from the surrounding waters each day. The talented team prepare original and delicious seafood plates cooked to order – including the famous Crab Brioche eaten by Fred Sirieix and Nadiya Hussain when we featured on BBC’s Remarkable Places To Eat. Relax and enjoy this seaside experience, delicious dishes including fish and chips, whilst absorbing the vibrant atmosphere.

The Restaurant

At The Seaview Restaurant we offer quality seafood dishes in an extraordinary setting. Our team of Michelin-trained chefs work with a network of master fishmongers and many of the ingredients in the dishes on our menus are caught fresh each morning. The restaurant itself is upstairs and has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the famous pier and the sea. With a laid-back old-school Ibiza vibe, our outdoor, open-air terrace with chic furnishings comes with jaw-dropping views across the dramatic coastline of Huntcliff. The Seaview Restaurant also has a state-of-the-art fish and chip shop, on the ground floor, where visitors can enjoy top-quality fish and chips by the seaside.

Our Menus

The sea and the fishermen dictate our menu. We never compromise on quality or sustainability. Our guests can expect the best produce possible, from as close as possible. “We want people to really be able to smell and taste fresh produce from the sea,” – Executive Chef Craig Sherrington. At The Seaview Restaurant our menu is not fancy or fussy as we believe offering simple, quality food using the freshest ingredients with a focus on provenance. We buy the best fish from local day boats that are certified by the Responsible Fishing Scheme. We are proud of our local fishermen who land fresh fish and shellfish daily and work using low impact fishing methods that preserve our marine environment. Our menu runs Monday to Sunday from 11.30am to 8.30pm – which is the latest you can order food, and we are open until 10.30pm. We can cater for most dietary needs so please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements.

Michelin-trained Executive Chef Craig Sherrington leads to kitchen team. Guests can expect the best produce possible, from as close as possible; to really be able to smell and taste fresh produce from the sea. Craig and his team’s food isn’t “fancy or fussy” it’s “simple, quality food using the freshest ingredients with a focus on provenance. At The Seaview Restaurant, we have forged excellent relationships with local fishermen and suppliers and guests will find delightful dishes on the menu such crab rarebit, scallops and classic moules to start and lobster thermidor, sea bass and house hun sirloin on our mains. Seaside staples such as cod and chips, haddock and chips and Whitby scampi are always available, too.

We provide a luxury indoor dining area and laid-back terrace – both with unrivalled views of the coast – are the perfect place to enjoy quality seafood and the best fish and chips. No matter what we offer on our menu, you can always guarantee the ingredients have been chosen and sourced for their ultimate quality.

Our team of Michelin-trained chefs work closely with local fishermen and producers – with many of the ingredients, such as the crab, caught fresh each morning from the shores on our doorstep.

It is always the intention to purchase only the finest quality fish from recognised and respected fish merchants that are sourced from sustainable and well managed fishing grounds.

We had a wonderful time here. The staff are very friendly and offer relaxed and outstanding service. The food was well presented, tasty and was excellent. Loved the combination of some flavours such as crab and Hendersons. The Halibut was simple but outstanding.

This was an amazing meal, we went for lunch after seeing the restaurant on TV and it was everything we hoped it would be! We all had crab brioches (helpfully labelled in the menu as recommended by Fred and Nadiya on the TV!) and they were so delicious.
